Push It To The Limit, On And Off The Track / Oregon University Track and Field Runner Celebrates Too Early and Loses (Video)

Simply put, I love this video. Not only is this a lesson for track athletes, but this is also a life lesson. From the jump, in Track101 you learn to run through the finish line- so I don’t know what Tanguy Pepiot of the University of Oregon was doing?!? Probably watching Usian Bolt way too much lol. Runner Space interviewed Pepiot after the race… “I thought I was by my self, like, far in front of the second guy,” Pepiot said. “I saw [Simon] on the screen, I tried to pick up, he…

Michael Johnson, 400 Meter World Record Video/ Throwback Post

Now that my college track and field career is over as an athlete, I couldn’t help to think about how incredibly slow I am, at least compared to the 400 meter world record time set by Michael Johnson. People always say how I am o so fast… but they don’t know fast. My fastest 400 meter time was during my freshman year in 2004 at the end of the outdoor track and field season at Bates College. During a 4×400 relay, I ran a sub 48 in the anchor leg.…

Usain Bolt and Jamaica Men’s Track And Field 4×1 Team Sets New World Record In Relay

Usain Bolt and Jamaica Men’s Track And Field 4×1 Team Sets New World Record In Relay … So over the past few years, track and field have been more exciting than ever. Not only is the fastest man ever recorded currently running, which is special within itself, but he’s also from Jamaica… which is where my father was born, and great grandfather on my mothers side 😉 Now, of course, I’m American, born and raised here so clearly I don’t want to see America stumble like they did, but honestly,…

2011 117th Penn State Relays… were just on TV and it was nice to catch up on my track and field! I remember running there while competing for Bates College. The crowd is probably the most amazing aspect of it all… yea even better than the talent that was there. I’ve never been around so many track fans in my life. The place is packed and absolutely on blast once any race begins. Just an intense rush that feels amazing… I miss that feeling to be honest! Usain Bolt during…

3D Track / Subarquitectura / Cool Architecture

So I came across this pretty cool “3D” Track. Literally! Considering how much time I’ve spent running on tracks over my teenage years, this would of been ill to have ran on. If I were a long distance runner who had to do multiple laps, mixing it up every once in awhile wouldn’t of been such a bad idea (although there is a slight incline, so maybe it wouldn’t be so great hah).
