Instagram Social Experiment – 500 “New” Friends / Business 101

And so the test begins. Some believe that it’s easier to get more followers when you already have a large following so I’m putting it to the test, to some degree. On my Instagram page I had about 400 followers and am curious to see if this little saying is true, at least in the Instagram world. For $7 I have purchased 500 followers. These are fake followers that do not comment or ‘like’ pictures or anything like that, they just boost your follower count up.

So I’m doing this because I want to test the theory I mentioned and to see if there is a quicker pace of new followers moving forward. Yea I doubt it, but we’ll see. And secondly, I want to see how long it takes for Instagram to detect the fake followers and get rid of them. I’m guessing it’ll be a few months but I have no idea since I’ve never done anything like this. It’s been a little over a week now, and I have gained some new real followers, but I’m not entirely sure it was because of the additional 500 followers. The timing isn’t necessarily ideal since I recently bought a drone and am starting to post aerial pictures from it, but excluding these drone people, I don’t see a drastic increase thus far.

So I’m going to keep these ‘fake’ followers for a few months and see how things turnout. I’ve made a reminder to check-in and write an updated post in 6 months so I will keep you posted. O and if you are doing some promo and want to buy both followers and ‘likes’, you can purchase them here at AudienceGain.com. They sell them at 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000 and 20000 followers or likes, only for $7, $12, $20, $45, $85 and $160. Being that I’m only testing the waters and don’t really care about the appearance part, I settled for the cheapest.

Now if you are interested in one of the more expensive one’s hold of for at least another 3 or 6 months until I do a follow up review, for all we know, Instagram will remove the 500 followers in a few weeks or something. I’m not really sure when or how they go about their “clean up” process of removing fake accounts, so hold off for a bit and I’ll keep you posted in the next review.
